Flightmapping was launched in 2002 to make the process of finding flights to and from the UK easier. The idea was born after founder James Avery could not find anywhere online which showed him where he could fly from UK airports.
Frustrated that internet searches for flights took him to a myriad of travel agents and price comparison websites, James decided he would develop a tool that simplified things by just showing who flies where from any given airport.
