For a long while, the Soviet flagcarrier laboured under the most unfashionable of reputations: the Skoda of the airline industry. Since then, the company has been semi-privatised and undergone something of an overhaul, replacing its outdated Soviet fleet with sleek, spacious Western models (much like Skoda).
